Where Are We?

Q: My brand new truck keeps scrubbing the outer edge of my left steer tyre?

A: The most likely cause is incorrect camber setting on the left side wheel: The vehicle will require an axle correction. This is very common complaint with new trucks as it needs to be set to suit Australian road conditions.

Q: My truck/car always pulls to the left?

A:The wheel alignment caster angle is incorrectly set on the steer axle. Installation of caster wedges may be required or the drive axle/axles are misaligned. Correct alignment may be required using laser measuring equipment or a combination of both of the above.

Q: My vehicle steered much better after it was wheel aligned but then 6 months later it started scrubbing the inner and outer edges of both steer tyres. What's the problem?

A: This is due to low tyre inflation, which causes the tyre to excessively roll on the rim, our wheel alignment invoices include the recommended tyre pressures for your vehicle and should be checked at regular intervals to insure maximum tyre life.

Q: Can you replace my king-pins, check my springs and check all rear suspension before you do a wheel alignment?

A: Yes, we offer all aspects of suspension repairs. We can carry out all mechanical repairs to your vehicle all under one roof, saving you time and money. No need to take your vehicle to three different workshops.

Q: Can Axis Truck Repairs carry out regular servicing and repairs as well as wheel aligning my fleet of vehicles?

A: Yes, here at Axis Truck Repairs we service and maintain many large fleet companies, including Government Authorities, and offer quick turn-around times to keep your fleet on the road and earning you money.

Q: Do you know where I can get my defect notice cleared and my pink slips issued?

A: Yes, Axis Truck Repairs is a RTA Heavy Vehicle Inspection Station, where we can issue both facilities.
